Our Literary Mission
The story behind Phoenix Book Truck and our passion for indie literature
From Ambulance to Bookmobile
Phoenix Book Truck began with a simple but powerful idea: bring indie literature directly to readers through a mobile book bistro that could respond to any "literary emergency."
What started as a converted ambulance filled with carefully curated indie books has grown into a beloved community fixture that champions emerging voices and fosters a love of reading.
Our grassroots organization operates with a rescue mindset - whether it's finding the perfect book, supporting local authors, or saving your book club's Thursday night meeting.
